This is a beautiful photo. Notice the mother's arm and shoulder on the far right, holding baby still.

I so agree with you! It makes me wonder whether it was taken a bit later in time, when cameras were faster and could allow for a smile. It does make you feel that you can see a little more of their personalities.

LOL) Here's one that I got to qualify for the MegaFamily board. Just a nice size family! The above photo says "Dr. Cosner, Dec. 1920" I love the chubby-cheeked toddlers, and the little one looks so cheeky with that grin, perhaps not quite as dignified as her doctor father!
